Canoe Slalom World Championships. London. 2015. Day 3.

Different day. Same mission. Qualify for the Semi Finals.

The last class to make their World Championship debut on the water, was the K1M. Again all athletes were looking to secure a Semi Final spot.

The form of the British Team has been sterling over the last two days of competition, thankfully this continued today. All 3 British K1M, Joe Clarke, Bradley Forbes-Cryans and Richard Hounslow, blasted down the course on the first run and booked their places in the Semi Finals, due to be held on Sunday.

Peak UK team members Sebastian Schubert and Boris Neveu, had to take two bites at the cherry in order to make it through to the Semi Final, as a result of them both collecting a 50 second penalty on gate 6.

Tomorrow will be the start of the business end of the competition. Semi- Final and Finals for the K1W and C2M, will see new World Champions crowded and Nations Olympic quote places handed out.  Exciting times ahead…!! Photos: Paul Ramsdale
