Scottish Canoe Polo Open

Hello everyone, I’m Maxime Biret SCA canoe polo treasurer and the Scottish Canoe Polo Open organiser. On the back of the recent challenging times clubs and individuals have faced during COVID, we wanted to offer everyone the opportunity to get back to competing. As the first of its kind in Scotland, on the 18th / 19th of September 2021 we organised the Scottish Canoe Polo Open at Willowgate Activity Centre, Perth. The event was successful and appreciated by all, teams from all over Scotland and even a team from Southampton attended.

Our vision is to put Scotland back on the map of the polo scene and make this competition a yearly event known by all UK polo communities and why not welcome international teams in the future (we already received interest from 4 abroad teams). We hope that the encouraging results of Scottish clubs in the British leagues and at international tournaments will attract more teams to our next edition (dates to be confirmed). Our new venue Willogate Activity Centre in Perth offers an idyllic scene, typical of Scottish landscape, between mountains and beach.

Titans Canoe Club won the first Scottish Canoe Polo Open edition by defeating Glasgow Kayak Club in the final.
