How did you get into paddling: My Parents were doing some whitewater kayaking when I was a kid. So I wanted to sit in a kayak too.
Achievements: 3 x Olympian (3rd in 2012, 4th in 2016 and 3rd in 2021), 2018 World Champion
What's next... ambitions / plans: After a disappointing ending of the 2023 season, my goal is still to make the Olympic Games in Paris 2024. Beside doing the slalom racers, I hope I will make it to the Dololmitenmann in Lienz and the Extreme Races in Lipno and Otz in 2024.
Best things about paddling: Spending time outside, fresh air and no distractions.
Best boating moment: Racing my first Olympics in London 2012.
Worst boating moment: I think I’m lucky to say that I didn’t have any really bad experience in kayaking so far
Any other hobbies: Trying different sports, gardening and spending time with my family
