Who are you?

I am a Freestyle Kayaker by trade having results such as British and Euro Cup champion to my name. During my time on the British Team I had the opportunity to travel to amazing paddling locations such as New Zealand, Canada, Uganda to name just a few. These paddling meccas gave me the opportunity to kayak some of the best whitewater in the world.

Traveling from country to country requires a steady flow of, you guessed it... Money!

A good way to earn on the river is to operate as a Raft Guide or Safety Kayaker, this is where the transition from competition paddler to a career in the outdoor industry took place.

The ever consistent rapids of Home Pierrepont in Nottingham offered the opportunity to continue to paddle Freestyle but also work as the Head Guide of the National Water Sports Centers commercial white water operation. Gaining Kayak coach status and becoming the youngest Level 4 Raft Guide Coach & Assessor in the UK opened up doors that eventually lead me set up my own outdoor activity company specializing in Rafting and Kayaking trips. 

Rapid Horizons was born and after a short while snowballed into Trip Advisers #1 outdoor activity provider in the Derwent Valley of the Peak District.Operating in the Peak District, North Wales and overseas, Rapid Horizons is an experienced and dedicated adventure activity provider whos ethos is to make adventure activities as accessible as possible whilst delivering the best service to their clients.
