Kayak Drina Expedition

What did you do for your work experience? Stack shelves? Lend a hand at the family business?

Instead of making coffee or refilling the printer these four intrepid teenagers from Derbyshire will be leading their own kayaking expedition to the Balkans – KAYAK DRINA. Over their work experience week in June the team will be kayaking sections of the Drina, Sava & Danube rivers in Bosnia and Serbia as well as conducting research into river pollution, post-conflict relations, entomology and team cohesion along the way.

As well as being their first overseas kayaking expedition this is also the first expedition that the team has received sponsorship for. We were keen to help out and so to keep them afloat and comfortable in the hot climate we have kitted the team out in Tourlite Zip PFDs, Tecwik Rashy tops and Bagz shorts as well as hats and T shirts.
